Here at the Wynd Gallery we offer a custom framing service in the heart of Hexham, Northumberland. We work with our partners, Castle Framing in Brampton, to produce beautiful bespoke frames for any and all items

Photography, original art and prints, treasured family heirlooms, sports shirts, caps, medals, certificates - whatever the piece, we offer tailored solutions that will present and protect to the highest standard.

We’ve been collaborating with Mike Minns and his team at Castle Framing for over three years now, and are very proud to offer their service at the Wynd Gallery.

Mike has been supplying and producing frames for galleries and artists nationwide for over twenty years and his approach, workmanship, pricing and lead times are second to none.

At the Wynd Gallery we have a huge selection of frames and mounts to choose from. If you’re considering having an item framed, we would encourage you to bring it to the workshop in the centre of Hexham and spend a little time trying out any samples and mounts that catch your eye.

Pete is always on hand to offer input and bounce ideas off if needed, and he’s happy to give quotes for any and all frames that are of interest. The use of the space and consultation service is offered without any obligation or pressure to proceed with an order.

The ordering and framing process is extremely simple:

Bring your piece to the Wynd Gallery in the centre of Hexham to review frame and mounting options and receive a quote
A 50% deposit for the work is required to place the order - your piece is then carefully packaged and transported to Mike and his team in Brampton.
Turnaround time is usually three weeks or less. Although certain items or frame choices may require a little longer, we pride ourselves on the speed of our service and how we achieve it whilst still maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
You are notified when your piece is back here at the Wynd Gallery ready for collection or delivery.

Although unfortunately we do not offer an online service or shipping of framed items, if you have an item you are considering having framed and would like to know a ball park cost before visiting us, just get in touch via our contact page. We just need the code number of any of the frames below that are of interest, along with the dimensions of your piece, and Pete will get back to you as soon as possible.
