photobooks

When Pete first started to explore with his camera, he was reactive. Photography came as a result of his love of the outdoors, and the images he captured were rarely planned, and regularly dependent on wherever he happened to be and whatever happened to catch his eye. Despite this, over the years, he has been able to identify obvious patterns in his work, and threads that connect otherwise completely unrelated pieces to one another. Moving away from looking to capture individual images that are the product of their circumstances, Pete has recently looked to collections of work and books as an opportunity to bring images together, so they might explore a location or theme or issue from a range of perspectives, and in doing so might help to illuminate each other.
