Scar was captured during a hike from Honister towards Kirk Fell. The walk gave a wonderful opportunity and perfect conditions to visit Green and Great Gable, and it was during a scramble on the latter that Scar was shot. It was the light and the time of day that made the image, the creeping shadows catching the paths and gills and crags and giving a clear impression of the scale England’s highest peak.

Further Information

  • All prints ordered through The Wynd Photographic are fine art prints. They are produced using the giclee process in combination with a smooth, archival, 300gsm cotton based paper by Fotospeed.

  • Once a print has been ordered, it is either produced by Pete in his own workshop or, if scale dictates, via an independent local print house he collaborates with regularly. Pete oversees all printing before performing quality checks, adding his signature, and packaging the finished work at the Wynd Gallery.

  • We are unable to guarantee a set turnaround time for an online order. Each client and order is slightly different and may require a particular approach to production. Wherever possible, we aim to complete and dispatch orders within 7 days of them being received.

    If you have specific requirements or a specific date that you need to have your order by, please get in touch via the contact page before you make your purchase. If you let us know the image name, the size you’re interested in, a rough location for delivery, and what date you need the order for, we’ll be able to let you know quite quickly whether there will be any problems.
