Stacks was captured during a hike from Honister Slate Mine towards Great Gable. The views available from that starting point and in that area of the Lake District come thick and fast, with the Ennerdale Valley and Buttermere, the Gables and hills leading up to Pillar, not to mention Fleetwith Pike and Brandreth. Stacks looks down towards Haystacks, the light catching on that squat and craggy peaks that Wainwright was so fond of.

Further Information

  • All prints ordered through The Wynd Photographic are fine art prints. They are produced using the giclee process in combination with a smooth, archival, 300gsm cotton based paper by Fotospeed.

  • Once a print has been ordered, it is either produced by Pete in his own workshop or, if scale dictates, via an independent local print house he collaborates with regularly. Pete oversees all printing before performing quality checks, adding his signature, and packaging the finished work at the Wynd Gallery.

  • We are unable to guarantee a set turnaround time for an online order. Each client and order is slightly different and may require a particular approach to production. Wherever possible, we aim to complete and dispatch orders within 7 days of them being received.

    If you have specific requirements or a specific date that you need to have your order by, please get in touch via the contact page before you make your purchase. If you let us know the image name, the size you’re interested in, a rough location for delivery, and what date you need the order for, we’ll be able to let you know quite quickly whether there will be any problems.
