Thread
Whilst the Wynd Photographic is an approach and a body of work that has always changed and evolved (and will continue to do so), there are certain threads and themes that can be found running through all of Pete’s work. One such recurring quality is a penchent for trying to capture scenes rather than views. Indeed, the scenes that catch Pete’s eye might not be views at all. They also don’t necessarily point to a narrative, but instead are spaces and/or moments where narratives could play out (or begin, or end). There therefore isn’t a consistent setting or landscape for these scenes, but rather a consistent energy or feeling; they are establishing shots before the action begins, or holding shots before a fade to black. variations on a theme is a selection of scenes Pete has captured over ten years.
