Yon - a Lake District Photozine

‘Yon’ is a photographic exploration of The Lake District through the eyes and the lens of Pete Wilkinson.

Pete has been documenting his visits to the Lakes for over ten years and has been lucky enough to experience his fair share of wonderful conditions and opportunities to watch beautiful Lakeland scenes play out before him. ‘Yon’ is a selection his favourite photographs from around the national park, and those that he feels most closely represent his perspective and memories of this very special corner of the UK.

‘Yon’ is printed by Robson Print Ltd in Hexham and is supplied with a slipcase.

It features 45 of Pete’s images from locations including Buttermere, Great Gable, Patterdale, Honister, Borrowdale and High Raise to name but a few, some of which have been shortlisted for UK Landscape Photographer of the year.

  • ‘Yon’ features 45 images captured by Pete over the past ten years. Whilst they document and share the locations and scenes he has experienced during his visits, because of Pete’s approach to photography they, and in turn ‘Yon’, offer a unique perspective on the Lakes; a perspective that lingers less on traditional beauty, but is drawn more towards atmosphere and the potential for narratives.

  • This first run of 200 copies of ‘Yon’ was produced by local Hexham printshop, Robson Print Ltd. It has been processed on 140 gsm stock with 300 gsm cover pages and is perfect bound. ‘Yon’ is supplied with a slipcase.

  • ‘Yon’ is packaged and posted by Pete himself, from his base at the Wynd Gallery in Hexham, Northumberland.

    Orders are posted via Royal Mail 24hr tracked delivery. Whilst every effort is made to process orders as soon as they are received, due to the nature of Pete’s work and need to travel for it, occasionally zines may not arrive until 5 - 7 days from ordering.
